Description
Today's Fighter Wing 73, located on Laage Air Base, was the first Luftwaffe unit which was equipped with the Eurofighter 'Typhoon'. Shown in the background of this aviation art print by Friedl Wuelfing are the two predecessors of the squadron's aircraft, the F-4F "Phantom" and the MiG-29, the latter taken over from Air Force of the NVA (German Democratic Republic), and a portrait of General Johannes Steinhoff.
