Le Mans 2016 - Anniversary Victory for Ford

The Motorsport art print ’Le Mans 2016 - Anniversary Victory for Ford’ by Nicholas Watts illustrates the No. 68 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT of Sebastien Bourdais, Joes Hand and Dirk Muller, which crossed the line at 3pm on Sunday as the winner of the LM GTE Pro Class at the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours after a staunch challenge from Ferrari. The No. 69 Ford GT of Briscoe, Westbrook and Dixon joined the winners on the podium after scoring third place. The No. 66 Ford of Johnson, Pla and Mucke finished fourth after being delayed with an electrical problem, whilst the No. 67 car of Priaulx, Franchitti and Tincknell had gearbox issues to come home in the 9th place. The GT victory came on the 50th anniversary of the first of four outright victories for the Blue Oval in 1966. It capped a campaign that began at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2015 when the GT Supercar was unveiled. Le Mans 18th - 19th June, 2016.
