In this IndyCar art print Alan Fearnley has captured Nigel Mansell on his way to victory in his Indycar Debut at Surfer's Paradise, Australia, on 21st March 1993, driving the Newman-Haas-K.Mart-Texaco Lola-Ford T93. The scene shows Formula-1 World Champion Nigel Mansell outbraking Emerson Fittipaldi on Lap 16 in a cloud of tyre smoke to take the lead and after 65 laps crossed the chequered flag at an average speed of 97.284 mph. Nigel Mansell is the first 'rookie' driver in Indy history to achieve pole position and win in his first race.
