Description
The small motorsport art print '1955 British Grand Prix - Aintree' by Michael Turner depicts the Mercedes team warming up their cars in the pits prior to the start, while Moss and Fangio discuss tactics. The race was dominated by the duel between Fangio and Moss, who alternated in the lead several times. On the last lap, Moss led and was able to defend his position just ahead of Fangio across the finish line. This was the first Formula One victory for Moss and the first Grand Prix win by a British driver. Moss won 15 more races in his career, for Mercedes it was his only one.
