Richard Taylor Short Biography
From an early age, the young Richard Taylor demonstrated an extraordinary ability to draw. Perhaps not surprisingly, he grew up in a family where artistic drawing and painting, publishing art prints, and gallery showings and exhibitions were part of daily life. Nevertheless, his talent was obvious to all who saw his works.
A future somewhere in the world of art seemed undoubted, although the career path for Richard was not so clear until he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Bath Spa University College. He improved during his studies with an impressive portfolio of illustrative works that clearly led his path towards the world of fine arts.
Under the watchful guidance of his father Robert, Richard developed a high standard of quality and local galleries began to exhibit his paintings and drawings. It wasn't long before commissions started coming in from friends, followed by work for friends of friends. Richard was really getting into the swing of things now - whether automobiles or wildlife were requested, Richard painted it all.
But deep down he always had a fondness for airplanes and mechanical things - as his father says - "It must be in the genes."
Richard Taylor's talent is not to be overlooked, so much so that the same art publisher that has had his famous father under contract for more than 30 years is now publishing Richard's work as art prints.
