Description
This Grand Prix Motorsport art print by Alfredo De la Maria depicts a szene during the 12th Monaco Grand Prix 2nd June 1952. Stirling Moss in the works Jaguar C-Type and Piero Carini in the Ferrari 340 roar past the Royal Box, pursued by Manzon in the Gordini, Levegh in the Talbot-Lago and then Parnell and Macklin in the Aston DB3's, plus the rest of the Ferrari contingent. Moss and Manzon dominated the race until, on lap 24, they piled into Parnell's stationary DB3 at Ste. Devote, giving the lead to Castellotti in the Ferrari 225 S coupe. Ultimate victory went to Count Marzotto in the Ferrari 225 S spyder, with 225 S models taking the first five places, giving Ferrari their very first victory at Monaco.
