Ronald Wong tn
Ronald Wong Short Biography

Ronald Wong studied biochemistry in the UK and worked in the health industry in London for a number of years before deciding to pursue his interest in painting, which had already existed in his youth. He then worked full time as an artist from 1976. In the early years, he earned his first laurels with challenging portraits, animal subjects and landscapes. Particularly noteworthy are his numerous portraits of award-winning animals from animal exhibitions in London.

But he was also fascinated by aviation. Ronald had grown up in the notorious approach sector of Hong Kong airport. After becoming a member of the British Association of Aviation Artists, his paintings quickly gained the attention of viewers and won awards. An additional boost of recognition was the interest in his work from foreign air forces, especially from squadrons of the U.S. Air Force, which maintain a close relationship and cooperation on artistic projects with Ronald Wong.

Most of his paintings are commissioned by units of the various air forces, or their members. The artist tries not only to achieve a high technical detail, but also to represent the atmosphere and dynamics of the special flight situation. He succeeds in this with aircraft as well as in his depictions of the animal world. Today Ronald Wong is a successful independent artist.
